Each year Alberta’s governing body for cheerleading, the Alberta Cheerleading Association (ACA), holds the largest cheerleading and dance event in Western Canada! The ACA’s True North Cheerleading and Dance Championship has raised the profile of the sport of cheerleading in Alberta, which has helped us grow and change attitudes about the true athleticism and leadership that these athletes commit to.
As a non-profit association, the event is the ACA’s major fundraiser for the year. Funds raised help us to educate our coaches, offer awards and scholarships, and meet the needs of cheerleading programs across Alberta.
