The Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) is Canada’s national youth STEM competition, returning to Edmonton from May 23–30, 2026. Hosted at the Edmonton EXPO Centre and the University of Alberta, the fair brings together approximately 400 of Canada’s top student scientists and innovators in grades 7–12, competing for over $2 million in awards and scholarships. The event includes a public STEM Expo that draws over 8,000 in-person visitors and features interactive exhibits and displays. The fair is free to attend and open to the public during public viewing times (Sunday, May 24, 3-5 pm; Thursday & Friday, May 28-29, 9 am-2:30 pm).
