Mini donuts, the Polar Express and more midway favourites are back! The thrill of the outdoor midway rolls into the Edmonton EXPO Centre West Parking Lot from July 23 – August 1.

Brought to you by North American Midway Entertainment, this outdoor-only midway event features all of the great rides, food, games and entertainment you know and love.

Health & Safety Protocols

This outdoor-only experience will be planned in accordance with current Government of Alberta public health recommendations and restrictions.

Outdoor-only entertainment
The Summer Fun Midway will be an outdoor-only experience. The Edmonton EXPO Centre will not be accessible to event attendees except for in the event of an emergency.

Masks
As of July 1, masks are no longer mandated by bylaw in the City of Edmonton. However, masks or face coverings are still strongly encouraged for all event attendees, and will be provided on site courtesy of Unbelts.

Physical distancing
Maintaining a physical distance of two meters from others outside of your group cohort is strongly encouraged. Ground markings will be placed in high-traffic areas throughout the midway to encourage physical distancing.

Cleaning and disinfection
Explore Edmonton will continue to implement enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols in accordance with standards of our GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation. North American Midway Entertainment will regularly clean and disinfect all high touch areas including rides and game equipment.

Personal health
Anyone currently experiencing any known symptoms of COVID-19 or who has recently been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 is asked to remain home. Additional hand sanitization stations will be placed throughout the midway and we encourage guests to regularly wash their hands. Health & safety signage will be placed at each entrance to the midway.

Staff health
We continue to take measures that support a healthy workforce. All Explore Edmonton staff are subject to enhanced health screening including temperature and symptom checks upon arrival to work.

Pre-purchase tickets and parking
To reduce touch points and lineups, we encourage all attendees to purchase tickets and parking in advance. Due to capacity control, advance Ride-All-Day tickets will be redeemable for the date of purchase.

• Gang-affiliated clothing
• In-Line skates
• Light-emitting devices (lasers)
• Marking devices (graffiti)
• Motorized vehicles (except mobility aids)
• Offensive clothing and material
• Any item deemed to be illegal or potentially hazardous to other guests
• Pets (excluding Service Dogs with an identification card)
• Professional camera or recording devices
• Remote control vehicles including unmanned aerial vehicles
• Reusable water bottles that are EMPTY of all liquid can be brought through security. You can refill your water bottle on-grounds. Water bottles and other non-alcoholic beverages are accepted through the gates only when they are sealed and have not been opened
• Skateboards/Segways/Wheelies (shoes with wheels)
• Spiked or studded jewelry or belts
• Sporting goods (baseball bats, hockey sticks, golf clubs, bows and arrows)
• Unauthorized advertising
• Weapons and dangerous devices of any type such as firearms, explosives, stun guns, handcuffs, clubs, batons, martial arts instruments, knives, tasers, tools, mace, pepper spray, bear spray also included are replica firearms/weapons etc.
• Any item Venue Management or Security deems, in their absolute discretion, to be a safety or security concern
