Join us on May 22 for the second edition of the Winery Spotlight Dinner Series!

Guests will enjoy an evening featuring sumptuous dishes crafted by Executive Chef Jiju Paul and the Edmonton EXPO Centre culinary team paired with premier Spanish wines presented by winemaker Nathalie Bonhomme.  The evening will take place in a modified long-table setting – perfect for mingling and sharing a culinary experience. 

The menu for this edition of the Winery Spotlight Dinner will take you on a culinary journey through Spain. Our food tour of Spain begins on the sun drenched North East coast near Barcelona with an appetizer that takes a modern interpretation of a classic tomato dish from Barcelona. Next, we pass through the entire country to the Southwest to the Iberian Peninsula for a Spanish inspired pork dish. Then, we travel to Madrid, where a traditional seafood dish undergoes a makeover that renders it unrecognizable.  Our next stop is Andalusia, Spain’s warmest region. The creativity of the industrious farmers, who combine Spanish flavors with fresh lamb, was an inspiration for our final entrée.

More about Nathalie Bonhomme
Nathalie Bonhomme has a vast understanding of Spanish wines, with the outlook of an ex-pat Canadian.  Born and raised in Montreal, Nathalie moved to Spain over twenty years ago, where she created her own export company, Sea-View-Wines. Her company specializes in representing small to medium-sized high quality producers seeking export markets around the globe.The allure of wine led Nathalie into other realms.  Under the tutoring of winemakers in Valencia and Jumilla she began making her own wine.  Her “Bonhomme” wines now appear in many Canadian markets.

Nathalie also holds the position of International Export Manager for Domino de Pingus of the Ribera del Duero region, arguably Spain’s most rare and expensive wine.   Domino de Pingus produces Pingus, Flor de Pingus and PSI under the guidance of owner/winemaker Peter Sisseck.  In addition, she is the Canadian Export Manager for Gil Family Estates.  

Nathalie lives in the small town of Altea along Spain’s Mediterranean Costa Blanca, near Alicante.  Much of her family resides in Montreal and she is a frequent visitor to Canada
